Mental health for the New Year

 

 

Okay so let’s be honest we all like to think of a new year as a restart. We want to press a metaphorical refresh button and completely change our lives.

I’m not one of those people who’s going to say that’s a bunch of bullshit, for once, because I know what it’s like not to have hope.

 

I’m all for resolutions if you make them FOR YOU and they are REALISTIC. But, most important that you know that the world will not end if you don’t reach those goals.

 

I’m the first person to beat myself up over the littlest thing and that’s one of the things I want to work on this year, being kinder to myself.

 

I’m going into 2017 positive for the first time in my life. However, I know that no one has a completely good year there will be ups and downs but I’m hoping for some more ups and maybe that starts with me thinking that the ups will be so worth the downs.
